First time visiting and really enjoyed it. Such a beautiful place, and the windows give great lighting. Sat at the bar and had a burger & fries with a delicious drink. Staff was helpful and friendly, too.

My sister and I had dinner tonight and everything was exceptional. Highly recommend the pork, lobster pasta, and crispy cauliflower. Gerard and Beth took care of us, it was so refreshing to get such great service! Can't wait for our next trip to apparatus room!

The Apparatus Room is a gem—set in a stunning historic building with beautifully preserved architecture. I’m in Detroit for work at the convention center, and this spot is perfectly located just across the street. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, ideal for relaxing after a busy day. I had one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever tasted and the cocktails were truly top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone visiting downtown!

When I called to confirm, I could check in at the foundation hotel. I found out our room was ready so we checked in early and brought our grandson down to experience this neoclassic restaurant and hotel. We were seated at the bar Beth was our bartender/waitress. I had chicken and waffles. Amy had the quiche. Both were very good at atmosphere was wonderful. Later in the day, we were back for a wonderful dinner Beth recommended the short ribs which she was right. They were fabulous. Amy had the halibut which was also very good. The atmosphere was very nice was comfortable was not too loud and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

Modern, sophisticated, and chill. The music was relaxed and hip with beats like Gust of Wind by Pharrell Williams. The drink menu had variety and each one was generously alcoholic. The food menu was short, but nothing short of culinary excellence. The items had complimentary flavors and textures, like the crispy savory chicken and fluffy sweet waffles featuring a lemon thyme syrup, or the puff pastry sausage strudel with burnt honey and toasted sesame seeds. I'm excited to come back to try the dinner menu! Word of caution - black pants and the table napkin left me with lint and wishing for a lint roller. Otherwise, the experience and food was great.

The food is fabulous and the atmosphere is awesome. I don't think there is a dish that would disappoint. The ding on service is because our server was sent home mid meal and the second half of our meal took a while to get to us and there was a vibe change.

Loved it from the moment we walked in. Sat at the bar and ordered from Devin,(he was awesome). We were in the mood for burgers. Had the smash burger and the chicken sandwich, which wasn't your typical chicken sandwich. Both were very good. Drink were spot on. Jalen the Bar-back was awesome. Love the atmosphere. The old fire house converted was wel done. I highly recommend this place.

Stopped in for brunch and a drink. Beautiful atmosphere, quiet and classy. Perfect for a business meeting, date or even quiet time reading a book with a glass of wine. I had the smash burger and a side salad. Almost didn’t get a picture because the food was sooo good!!! So were the drinks! Compliments to Chef Angie and the Bartender Kevin A
